Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí

Dali, a genius-savant, is the de facto king of the surrealistic style of painting. A master painter of the highest order, he created a body of work punctuated by the famous melting clocks in his, “Persistence of Time” painting. He signed many paintings with Gala’s name because he knew without her his success as a painter would never happen.

She was Dali’s lifetime partner and muse, and, his salvation. She took care of all of his business affairs as his agent, manager and promoter. Most importantly, she kept Dali on the sane side of madness. A salacious creature, she (and he) had numerous extramarital affairs

Dali and his wife–what a pair! Together, they carved a prestigious and permanent place in the history of surrealism.
